the jarring truth

9 Aug

Written for this weekend’s trifecta challenge.

I giggle. He waits on the bed, smiling as I enter the bathroom. The closet door is ajar… my curiosity gets me. Bloody jars contain a human’s heart, finger, and tooth–
HE’S HERE!

I like the play on the title. Jarring, indeed. The jars lead me to so many more questions!

It is amazing how in only 33 words a scary story can be told so vividly. Well done.

jarring truth gets me – which on-line dating service was he from?

Hahaha. Actually, he can be found on multiple online dating platforms. Interestingly enough, no two of his profiles share the same identity information!

I saw this as a first date gone horribly, horribly wrong. Thank goodness I’m married.

    Creepy awesomeness!

AH! Creepy! My father-in-law is the king of corny jokes. His favorite is saying, “The door isn’t ajar. It’s a door.” Groan. But this piece reminds me more of the episode of Dexter I watched the other night. Creepy!! Thanks for linking up.
