That is an intriguing train of thought. My answer would be that while sometimes we might be happier without knowing the answer, there comes a point when we must be careful not to be blindly ignoring the answers right in front of us. Thanks for the thoughts and thanks for reading!

Those are both valid options. Alternatively (and this is what I picture), it could be a third party asking why the girl watches the sad scene without trying to help. This gives the title, “questioning apathy.”
